Overview

Magna IV Engineering was engaged to replace a medium voltage dry type transformer on the top of a 150m crane in a port facility in British Columbia, Canada.

Transformer Details:

12.5kV to 500V, 1750kVA

Scope

  • Confirm fit of the new transformer

  • Disassemble metal clad gear

  • Disconnect and crane out existing transformer

  • Crane in and install new transformer

  • NETA Commissioning

  • Reconnection

  • Energize and confirm with a load test
